The Batter of the Month award in the NL goes to Pittsburgh's Felix Veach this time, as the shortstop displayed the best offensive perfomance in his league. He had an on base percentage of .468 and hit .402, while driving in 25 runs. Felix is hitting .329 this year, with 157 hits in 477 at bats. He has driven in 81 runs, slugging .468.

Dylan Niven pitched like a legend in August, and the AL named him Pitcher of the Month for his extraordinary performance. His ERA of just 1.24 helped him to a 4-0 record in August. He worked 43.2 innings, striking out 35 hitters while walking 13.

Winner of this months NL Pitcher of the Month award is Pittsburgh's Wes Littleton. He had an ERA of just 2.23 in 36.1 innings of work in which he struck out 23 hitters. His record in August is 5-1. In 27 starts this year Wes struck out 89 batters in 161.1 innings of work.
