United Baseball League 05-16-2027 Home | | | Breaking News | | Sunday, May 16th, 2027: Riley and Meadows Dealt The Montreal Expos announced a deal with the Brewers today, sending 32-year old starting pitcher Lee Riley to Milwaukee for 21-year old minor league left fielder Benjamin Meadows. It had been talked about for the past few weeks and everything came together late last night. All players are expected to be joining their respective clubs shortly.
So far this season Riley has a record of 2-2 with 10 strikeouts and 9 walks in 33 innings and a 5.73 ERA.
| | Saturday, May 15th, 2027: 5 Hits for Rangers Carlberg Steve Carlberg told the press after his 5-hit day, "Every batter wants to have a quality at-bat every time he steps up to the plate. He wants to hit the ball hard."
Well, that's just what Carlberg of the Texas Rangers did against the Chicago (A) White Sox. He went to the plate 6 times and 5 times he delivered base hits, much to the chagrin of the White Sox, who suffered a 17-3 defeat.
"Not much that I can say," offered the losing manager, "he just hammered the heck out of us."
S. Carlberg singled in the 1st, flied out in the 2nd, doubled in the 4th, hit a two-run home run off L. Allen Jr. in the 5th, singled in the 7th and singled in the 9th.
This year Carlberg has socked 41 hits in 136 at-bats for a .301 average with 8 home runs. He is getting on base at a .379 pace and his totals also include 20 RBIs and 23 runs scored. | | Friday, May 14th, 2027: Rogers Has Hot Hand, Bangs 5 hits What a day for Dan Rogers of the Atlanta Braves! A 5-hit hitting spree! That doesn't happen every day! He ripped Houston pitching apart at Turner Field and sparked the Braves to a 8-6 victory. He wrote his name in the record books, finishing his special day 5 for 5.
"I'm usually a first ball hitter," Rogers told BNN reporters in the postgame press conference. "I think pitchers think batters are going to let the first one go by. I never do. I've always found that it's better to pull the trigger early in the count. Pitchers get real nasty when they get ahead of you, so I try to avoid that."
D. Rogers singled in the 1st, doubled in the 2nd, hit an RBI single in the 4th, hit an RBI triple in the 6th and hit a solo-shot off S. Crawford in the 8th.
Thus far this season Rogers has hit .263 with 1 home run, 13 RBIs and scored 14 times. | | | | | Yesterday's Games | | American League | | Away Team | Home Team | Result | Time | Winning Pitcher | Losing Pitcher | | Seattle | New York (A) | 2-14 | 7:05 pm | D.Yu (1-2, 9.00 ERA) | R.Cranium (4-2, 3.72 ERA) | | Anaheim | Toronto | 4-6 | 7:05 pm | C.Zak (4-3, 5.13 ERA) | S.Borek (2-3, 5.90 ERA) | | Baltimore | Tampa Bay | 3-8 | 7:05 pm | D.Troup (6-1, 4.06 ERA) | A.Davalos (2-4, 4.98 ERA) | | Boston | Las Vegas | 1-18 | 7:05 pm | J.Rodríguez (2-4, 6.33 ERA) | B.Foerster (2-3, 8.10 ERA) | | Oakland | Kansas City | 3-17 | 7:05 pm | M.Maury (1-6, 5.32 ERA) | M.Maccaishe (1-4, 6.91 ERA) | | Texas | Chicago (A) | 17-3 | 7:05 pm | W.Martin (2-0, 2.52 ERA) | F.Perez (3-2, 5.12 ERA) | | National League | | Away Team | Home Team | Result | Time | Winning Pitcher | Losing Pitcher | | Atlanta | Houston | 1-3 | 7:05 pm | D.Kayser (7-1, 2.64 ERA) | J.Vitale (1-4, 3.95 ERA) | | New York (N) | Milwaukee | 5-7 | 7:05 pm | J.Chambers (1-0, 3.92 ERA) | D.Martinez (0-2, 4.87 ERA) | | Philadelphia | Pittsburgh | 2-3 | 7:05 pm | G.Andrews (1-0, 3.24 ERA) | A.Valenzuela (0-1, 1.35 ERA) | | Montreal | Arizona | 7-8 | 7:05 pm | A.Hill Jr. (3-2, 4.01 ERA) | L.Riley (2-2, 5.73 ERA) | | Chicago (N) | Los Angeles | 8-5 | 7:05 pm | R.Tucker (2-2, 6.39 ERA) | R.Luke (4-2, 4.10 ERA) | | St. Louis | San Diego | 3-0 | 7:05 pm | M.Rider (4-1, 1.31 ERA) | P.Johnson (1-4, 6.02 ERA) | | Cincinnati | San Francisco | 3-2 | 7:05 pm | R.Slover (1-2, 5.25 ERA) | H.Mertens (0-1, 9.17 ERA) | | Florida | Colorado | 6-13 | 7:05 pm | J.Bocanegra (2-0, 2.45 ERA) | J.Llewellyn (0-2, 4.50 ERA) | | | Today's Games | | American League | | Away Team | Home Team | Time | Starting Pitcher Away Team | Starting Pitcher Home Team | | Seattle (20-15, Road: 9-10) | Boston (16-19, Home: 10-10) | 7:05 pm | LHP C.Albuerne (3-4, 3.75 ERA) | RHP A.Ruiz (1-5, 6.57 ERA) | | Texas (15-20, Road: 8-11) | New York (A) (20-15, Home: 8-10) | 7:05 pm | RHP O.Cabrera (2-5, 4.26 ERA) | LHP J.Arellano (5-1, 2.40 ERA) | | Baltimore (17-20, Road: 9-9) | Tampa Bay (19-16, Home: 8-8) | 7:05 pm | RHP J.Deegan (1-5, 4.84 ERA) | RHP L.Herman (2-3, 4.53 ERA) | | Chicago (A) (23-10, Road: 12-3) | Las Vegas (17-16, Home: 9-9) | 7:05 pm | RHP T.Ku (3-3, 6.00 ERA) | RHP J.Rodríguez (2-4, 6.33 ERA) | | Toronto (20-14, Road: 10-8) | Cleveland (19-16, Home: 9-8) | 7:05 pm | RHP R.Arthur (2-4, 4.09 ERA) | RHP T.Knapp (4-2, 5.90 ERA) | | Anaheim (15-19, Road: 6-9) | Kansas City (14-20, Home: 9-9) | 7:05 pm | RHP L.Anguiano (0-0, 6.23 ERA) | RHP P.Valladares (0-5, 8.74 ERA) | | Oakland (14-20, Road: 6-13) | Minnesota (12-21, Home: 5-10) | 7:05 pm | LHP G.Fernandes (2-1, 6.00 ERA) | LHP W.Keller (2-4, 6.14 ERA) | | National League | | Away Team | Home Team | Time | Starting Pitcher Away Team | Starting Pitcher Home Team | | Montreal (21-14, Road: 10-9) | Houston (18-17, Home: 14-6) | 7:05 pm | RHP R.Woodberry (2-2, 2.41 ERA) | RHP R.Almon (3-3, 5.18 ERA) | | Philadelphia (14-19, Road: 8-10) | Milwaukee (21-13, Home: 14-3) | 7:05 pm | RHP J.Diez (2-2, 4.29 ERA) | RHP M.Cordon (4-1, 2.11 ERA) | | Atlanta (14-20, Road: 7-12) | Pittsburgh (21-14, Home: 15-5) | 7:05 pm | RHP T.January (2-0, 5.23 ERA) | RHP T.Delao (3-2, 3.35 ERA) | | New York (N) (10-25, Road: 3-17) | Arizona (15-19, Home: 10-9) | 7:05 pm | RHP O.Marcell (1-4, 3.74 ERA) | LHP R.Samora (1-2, 6.53 ERA) | | Florida (18-15, Road: 12-6) | Los Angeles (22-11, Home: 16-2) | 7:05 pm | RHP V.Ortiz (2-2, 4.82 ERA) | RHP A.Torres (3-1, 4.10 ERA) | | Cincinnati (13-22, Road: 6-14) | San Diego (19-14, Home: 12-6) | 7:05 pm | RHP L.Phu (1-3, 6.14 ERA) | RHP S.Choy (3-3, 3.75 ERA) | | St. Louis (18-17, Road: 8-11) | San Francisco (20-15, Home: 12-7) | 7:05 pm | LHP B.Earwood (3-3, 3.91 ERA) | RHP M.Lee (3-3, 3.35 ERA) | | Chicago (N) (13-21, Road: 4-14) | Colorado (17-18, Home: 11-9) | 7:05 pm | RHP K.Peoples (0-4, 4.68 ERA) | LHP K.Sleeth Jr. (2-3, 5.68 ERA) | | |
