Sunday, June 18th, 2034: BNN is reporting a rumored trade between the Chicago (A) White Sox and Anaheim Angels has been finalized. The deal, which is expected to be announced sometime during the next few hours, will reportedly send 20-year-old minor league reliever Bob Johnson to Anaheim in return for 37-year-old starting pitcher Jesse Williams, 25-year-old starting pitcher César Hernández, 21-year-old minor league right fielder Alfonso Zapata and 19-year-old minor league reliever José Martínez. The clubs were noncommittal on the trade, but did not deny it.
Williams has crafted a 157-137 won-lost record in his career with a 3.93 ERA. |

Friday, June 16th, 2034: The Pittsburgh Pirates were informed today by team doctors that third baseman Carl Seymour sustained a hand contusion in a recent game against the Chicago (N) Cubs and will not play for 5 days. Seymour was hurt being hit by a pitch.
Seymour is currently batting .244 with 2 home runs, 23 RBIs and 23 runs scored. He has 53 hits in 217 at-bats. |

Thursday, June 15th, 2034: The St. Louis Cardinals swept past the Pittsburgh Pirates 8-7 today at Busch Stadium and were paced by right fielder Camm Wade. The 29-year-old Wade got 5 hits in 6 at-bats, helping to send Pittsburgh down to defeat.
C. Wade hit a solo-shot off K. Baldock in the 1st, doubled in the 4th, doubled in the 6th, hit a solo-shot off C. Lucas in the 8th, flied out in the 11th and hit an RBI single in the 12th.
Wade currently has a .328 batting average with 67 hits, 14 homers, 31 RBIs, 46 runs scored and a .443 OBP. |
