John Combs had an answer for everything the Rochester Red Wings threw him today in the Louisville 4-1 triumph at Ballpark of Louisville. He made good contact 5 times and 5 times he drilled the ball for a base hit.
The Louisville left fielder went 5 for 7 in the game to put his name in the record book.
Summing up his batting philosophy to BNN writers after the game, Combs said, "I just see the ball and I hit it."
J. Combs struck out in the 1st, hit an RBI double in the 3rd, struck out in the 5th, singled in the 7th, doubled in the 9th, singled in the 11th and hit a three-run home run off J. Justus in the 13th.
In the 2027 season Combs is batting .310 with 27 hits and 2 home runs. He has scored 17 times and batted in 15. |

One of the league's most exciting young players, Daniel Fargo of the Nashville Sounds earned himself Pacific Coast League Player of the Week honors with a standout performance in last week's games.
For the week the 25-year-old center fielder had a lofty .500 average (16-32), collecting 1 home run, 4 RBIs and 5 runs scored.
So far this season Fargo has 3 home runs and a .388 batting average. |

Raimundo Torres is respected by most Norfolk Tides fans for his no-frills style of play. The 28-year-old left fielder went about his business with vigor last week to grab the International League Player of the Week honors.
He compiled a .556 average (10-18) with 2 home runs, 9 RBIs and 3 runs scored.
This year Torres is hitting .230 with 3 home runs and 16 RBIs to his credit. He has gotten on base at a .275 clip and scored 8 runs. |
