Saturday, June 17th, 2034: Robert Sheehan told the press after his 5-hit day, "Every batter wants to have a quality at-bat every time he steps up to the plate. He wants to hit the ball hard."
Well, that's just what Sheehan of the Tucson Sidewinders did against the Salt Lake Bees. He went to the plate 7 times and 5 times he delivered base hits, much to the chagrin of the Bees, who suffered a 8-7 defeat.
"Not much that I can say," offered the losing manager, "he just hammered the heck out of us."
R. Sheehan doubled in the 1st, flied out in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, singled in the 6th, singled in the 8th, grounded out in the 9th and doubled in the 12th.
This season Sheehan is hitting .278 with 81 hits, 4 home runs, 41 RBIs, scored 62 runs and played in 71 games. |

Saturday, June 17th, 2034: Today at RedHawks Ballpark, Dave Hobbs led the RedHawks to a 7-6 triumph over the Memphis Redbirds. He colleced 5 hits in 6 at-bats to spark his club in the victory.
D. Hobbs grounded out in the 1st, singled in the 4th, singled in the 6th, doubled in the 7th, singled in the 9th and hit an RBI single in the 10th.
A look at his season totals shows Hobbs with 14 home runs, .314 BA, .380 OBP, 49 RBIs and 46 runs scored. |

Saturday, June 17th, 2034: Scranton hurler Will Thompson was at his best as he whitewashed the Richmond Braves 6-0 today.
"He just kept the ball down, did a good job, made his pitches," said the Richmond manager. "We didn't do a good job making adjustments, so we helped him out a little bit."
Thompson fired a 2-hitter and totaled 8 strikeouts and 3 walks in the shutout performance.
