"I had everything working for me out there. I used every one of my pitches, hit both sides of the plate really well and felt like I could do whatever I wanted."
With stuff like that, it was easy for Matthew Libby of the Twins to handcuff the Royals 4-0 and come away with a complete-game 4-hit shutout. He recorded 6 strikeouts and no walks in an impressive performance.
This year Libby has compiled a 4-6 mark with a 3.32 ERA. |
 | Thursday, June 15th, 2028: O'Slattery's Season Could be Over
The season is apparently over for Tim O'Slattery. The Minnesota Twins medical staff informed the club that the reliever will be out at least 8 months with a torn tricep muscle. O'Slattery was hurt in the game against Pittsburgh while throwing a pitch. The doctors did not think he would recover prior to the end of the season.
O'Slattery's record up to now is 1-and-2 with no saves and a 4.89 ERA. He has given up 36 hits in 35 innings with 36 strikeouts.

 | Thursday, June 1st, 2028: American League Names Rookie of Month
Jose Aguilera earned May's Rookie of the Month honors in the American League for last month's performance. The boyish Minnesota shortstop might be wet behind the ears, but he's proving that he has what it takes to play at this level.
Aguilera hit .312 with 1 home run, 12 RBIs and 12 runs scored this past month on his way to winning the award.
So far this season Aguilera has hit .266 with 2 home runs, 24 RBIs and and scored 26 times.
