This season Escamilla is batting .281 with 22 home runs. His totals include 57 RBIs and 59 runs scored.
Monday, July 31st, 2028: Escamilla Day-to-Day with Injury
Is José Escamilla going to tough it out and play through an injury? We'll get the chance to find out in the next 2 weeks as the outstanding Texas third baseman attempts to shrug off a strained tricep muscle he sustained throwing the ball against the Anaheim Angels. Whether the management lets him play or handles him with kid gloves will depend mostly on how Escamilla feels on a day-to-day basis. But there's little doubt that the Texas Rangers will be happy for the talented player to return at full strength as soon as possible.

In 80 games this season Escamilla has batted at a .281 pace with 89 hits and 22 home runs.
