| Breaking News | | Thursday, June 15th, 2028: Fernando Rodriguez Lost for Season Florida shortstop Fernando Rodriguez could miss the remainder of the season because of back spasms. He exited yesterday's Kansas City game after injuring himself while throwing the ball. The original diagnosis said Rodriguez would be out 12 months. Later on his doctors said he could be out even longer.
"He's done," his manager commented at the BNN press conference. "It's a season-ending injury, but it could have been worse. It's not the worst-case scenario, so we're happy about that."
This season Rodriguez has hit at a .332 clip with 29 RBIs, 3 home runs and 30 runs scored. | | Sunday, June 4th, 2028: Florida Loses Love, Will Miss Season Joe Love will soon find out from his doctors if his season will continue. The first diagnosis was not too positive and stated the Florida third baseman could miss the remainder of the year. Love was injured while throwing the ball in the Marlins-Phillies clash at Pro Player Stadium recently. Doctors said he has a ruptured disc and would be out a minimum of 8 months.
This season Love is batting at a .200 clip with no home runs and 1 RBIs. | | Monday, May 8th, 2028: Peck Picked NL Player of the Week At the age of 34, Michael Peck might have some potential he hasn't realized yet -- if his success at the plate last week is any indication.
