Wednesday, August 2nd, 2028: Bad Behavior Costs Simmons and Black
Steffen Simmons of Philadelphia and Bill Black of New York (N) have been sanctioned by the league office for causing the ruckus at Veterans Stadium yesterday. Both players have been given 5-game suspensions for instigating the fight and subsequent free-for-all.

Thus far this year Simmons has hit .306 with 26 home runs and 92 RBIs.

So far this season, Black has compiled a 3-1 won-lost mark with no saves and a 5.45 ERA. In 33 innings he has fanned 20 and opponents are hitting him at a .305 clip.
Monday, July 31st, 2028: Allen Batters Montreal Big Time
"Ever since I picked up my first bat my coaches were always saying to keep your eye on the ball, don't overswing... just make contact and ya never know what'll happen," New York (N)'s Toby Allen told reporters after the game. "That's all I did today. I made contact and it turned out well."

It definitely turn out well for Allen today as he collected 5 hits in 5 at-bats against Montreal. It turned out well for his team, too, as the Mets knocked off the Expos 12-7 at WPT Field.

T. Allen singled in the 1st, hit an RBI single in the 2nd, hit an RBI single in the 3rd, singled in the 5th and hit an RBI single in the 7th.

To date, Allen has collected 8 hits for a .444 average. He has posted no home runs, scored 3 runs and driven in 4 runs.
Sunday, July 30th, 2028: Stroman Gets 5 Hits
William Stroman really sizzled at the plate in today's 6-3 win over Mets. The Montreal right fielder blistered New York (N) for 5 hits in 5 at-bats.

"Stroman was too tough to get out today," the Mets skipper said in the postgame interview. "No matter what we threw him, he hit it. And he hit some good pitches, too."

W. Stroman hit a solo-shot off D. Benegas in the 2nd, hit an RBI single in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, hit an RBI single in the 6th and singled in the 8th.

This year Stroman is batting .313 with 4 home runs and 28 RBIs. In 86 games he has scored 19 times.
