| Breaking News |  | Wednesday, June 21st, 2028: Wilson Gomez Injured, Out for Year
Doctors in Boston said Wilson Gomez may not play anymore this year. The Red Sox starting pitcher received bone chips in his elbow during a game against the San Diego Padres and will be out for at least 8 months. Club officials told BNN they did not expect him to return to the team this season.
This year Gomez has worked 99 innings with 62 strikeouts en route to a 8-2 record and a 3.00 ERA. |

After feeling sick for a few days, Scott Gray finally visited his doctor and the diagnosis was the flu. This problem could keep him out of Boston's lineup for 1-2 weeks.
Gray has gone 9-1 this season with an ERA of 2.84 and 52 strikeouts in 76 innings pitched. Other clubs are hitting .230 against him.

 | Thursday, June 1st, 2028: Leon Leach Hurt, Will Miss Rest of Year
Boston starting pitcher Leon Leach could miss the remainder of the season because of back spasms. He exited yesterday's Baltimore game after injuring himself while throwing a pitch. The original diagnosis said Leach would be out 13 months. Later on his doctors said he could be out even longer.
"He's done," his manager commented at the BNN press conference. "It's a season-ending injury, but it could have been worse. It's not the worst-case scenario, so we're happy about that."
