| Breaking News | | Wednesday, July 26th, 2028: Hits Galore: Daniels Drills 5 Hits Players get multi-hit games all the time. But a 5-hit game only comes around once in a blue moon. It happened at Ballpark of Syracuse when Benedict Daniels of Syracuse scattered 5 hits all over the ballpark against the Richmond Braves.
He walloped 5 hits in 5 at-bats in his career-day performance to help the Chiefs get by the Braves 19-10.
In a talkative and jovial mood after the game, the right fielder of the Chiefs exclaimed, "Whoa, my swing was really, really there today. I made some good, sweet-spot contact and when that happens... good things happen... like 5-5. I could get used to a lot of days like this one."
B. Daniels hit a solo-shot off J. Unknown in the 1st, singled in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, hit an RBI double in the 6th, hit a two-run home run off J. Unknown in the 6th and walked in the 9th.
Thus far this season in 21 games Daniels is batting .357 with 3 home runs, 22 RBIs and 16 runs scored. He has 30 hits in 84 at-bats. | | Friday, July 21st, 2028: Leblond 5-5 for Mud Hens Toledo second baseman Michel Leblond really lit up the Richmond Braves with a 5-hit barrage today at Mud Hens Ballpark -- a performance that sparked the Mud Hens to a 6-3 triumph.
He shrugged off the performance after the game and said, "Sometimes the ball finds outfielders, today the ball found some holes."
M. Leblond doubled in the 1st, doubled in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, hit an RBI single in the 6th and singled in the 8th.
