At the age of 29, Christopher Frey might have some potential he hasn't realized yet -- if his success at the plate last week is any indication. The Louisville first baseman put up some exceptional numbers the past seven days collecting the International League Player of the Week Award.
He racked up 11 hits in 23 at-bats, 2 home runs and 8 RBIs last week in 5 games.
Frey is swinging at a .284 pace on the year with 7 home runs, 51 RBIs and 40 runs scored. He has played in 90 games.

It can be difficult for a young player to step out of the shadows and assert himself in the International League, but last week Michael Wilson of the Louisville Bats reminded everyone just why he's here as he threw up numbers that made him an easy selection for Player of the Week.
Wilson rocked opposing pitching for a .429 average (9-21), 4 home runs and 11 RBIs to come away with the award.
In his season totals Wilson has 17 home runs and a .301 batting average.
