| Breaking News |  | Tuesday, August 1st, 2028: Nashville Starter Named PCL's Top Pitcher
In July, Roy Frank tore through the Pacific Coast League like a seasoned veteran -- quite impressive for a player only 22 years old.
The young Nashville starter posted a 5-0 mark and an ERA of 1.35 to earn the Pitcher of the Month award. In 40 innings he collected 58 strikeouts while limiting the opposition to a .164 average.
To this point in the season Frank has 14 wins and 4 losses and a 2.57 ERA.

 | Sunday, July 23rd, 2028: Robbins Hurls Nashville to Shutout Win
Bob Robbins of the Nashville Sounds shut out the Colorado Springs Sky Sox 13-0, held them to 3 hits with no walks and 7 strikeouts. Robbins said, "I could throw any pitch on any count."
The Colorado Springs skipper called his game a jewel, saying, "The way he was pitching, it would have been tough for anyone to beat him."
In the 2028 season Robbins has 10 wins and 2 losses and a 4.49 ERA.
