5 hits in 5 at-bats. It doesn't happen every day, and when it does, it's exciting. Today Gaspar Nava of the Oklahoma RedHawks had a sensational 5-5 game against Iowa at RedHawks Ballpark. He rifled base hits all over the ballpark in his team's 6-4 shellacking of the Cubs.
In the postgame press conference he joked, "Heck, that's a week's worth of hitting for me and I did it all in one day. I guess I can take the rest of the week off... Right, skipper?"
G. Nava hit an RBI double in the 2nd, hit an RBI single in the 4th, singled in the 5th, hit a two-run single in the 7th and singled in the 9th.
Posting a .377 batting average to date, Nava has 1 home run and 17 RBIs.

 | Tuesday, May 30th, 2028: Kepler KO'd by Major Injury
Jimmy Kepler's playing days are over. His career has been cut short due to a severe injury sustained in yesterday's game against the Oklahoma RedHawks at Ballpark of Iowa. The 28-year-old Cubs center fielder was injured running the bases and suffered a torn back muscle.
Kepler on the season is batting .291 with 1 home run. His totals include 21 RBIs and 32 runs scored. He has played in 45 games.

5 hits in 6 at-bats. It doesn't happen every day, and when it does, it's exciting. Today Zhi-gang Gao of the Round Rock Express had a sensational 5-6 game against Iowa at Express Ballpark. He rifled base hits all over the ballpark in his team's 14-7 shellacking of the Cubs.

Z. Gao singled in the 1st, singled in the 2nd, doubled in the 5th, grounded out in the 6th, hit an RBI single in the 7th and singled in the 8th.
