Monday, May 8th, 2028: Jackson on a Rampage, Hits for Cycle
"To hit for the cycle" is one of the rarest of feats in a baseball game. This occurs when a player hits a single, double, triple and homerun in the same game, getting every type of hit possible. Lawrence Jackson grabbed a piece of baseball history today when he hit for the cycle. Jackson went 4 for 6 with 5 runs batted in and 3 runs scored against Dayton, leading the Lakeland Flying Tigers to a 12-5 win at Ballpark of Lakeland.

"I felt comfortable at the plate in a way I haven't felt all season," Jackson said after the game. "It was like they were throwing beach balls at me. The ball seemed that big to me. And it just floated in."

L. Jackson hit a two-run double in the 1st, hit a solo-shot off K. Nakamura in the 3rd, grounded out in the 4th, struck out in the 6th, hit a two-run triple in the 8th and singled in the 9th.

So far this season Jackson is batting .377 with 2 home runs, 26 RBIs and 14 runs scored. He has 26 hits in 69 at-bats, 3 walks and a .413 OBP. Jackson has played in 15 games.
