| Breaking News |  | Monday, June 19th, 2028: Week's Best Player: Hagerstown's Strong
It can be difficult for a young player to step out of the shadows and assert himself in the Mid Atlantic League, but last week Theodore Strong of the Hagerstown Suns reminded everyone just why he's here as he threw up numbers that made him an easy selection for Player of the Week.
Strong rocked opposing pitching for a .560 average (14-25), no home runs and 6 RBIs to come away with the award.
To date this season Strong is hitting .318 with 1 home run. |
 | Tuesday, June 6th, 2028: Hagerstown Loses William for Season
The news is bad in Hagerstown. The Suns have lost the services of starting pitcher Todd William for the rest of the season due to a ruptured ulnar collateral ligament. William was injured in a recent game with the Lakeland Flying Tigers while throwing a pitch and is expected to miss 7-8 months.

 | Wednesday, May 31st, 2028: Hatfield Career Ended by Major Injury
Tim Hatfield, the Suns 20-year-old first baseman, suffered a serious injury running the bases during yesterday's game at Ballpark of Hagerstown between Hagerstown and Palm Beach. It now has been confirmed that he suffered a torn ankle ligaments. Indeed, the injury likely has ended Hatfield's baseball career.
Hatfield is batting at a .362 pace in 2028, picking up 75 hits in 207 at-bats with 3 home runs, 34 RBIs and 31 runs scored.
