He gave up 1 hit and collected 1 walk and 7 strikeouts.
Lake Elsinore hitters were bewildered throughout the game by his delivery.

Shaffer seemed to feel more for his team than himself.
"I had some great looks at some pitches that I should have hit. I missed some that I shouldn't have swung at. All in all, I wasn't much help with the bat today."
Presently Shaffer is batting .274 and has collected 4 home runs, 37 RBIs, .304 OBP and scored 51 runs. | | | | Team Information | | Record overall | 48-29, .623 PCT | | Position in Division | 2nd, 1.0 GB | | Record at home | 26-15, .634 PCT | | Record on the road | 22-14, .611 PCT | | Record in X-inning games | 1-5, .167 PCT | | Record in one-run games | 12-13, .480 PCT | | Record versus LHP | 15-7, .682 PCT | | Record versus RHP | 33-22, .600 PCT | | Record last 10 games | 4-6, .400 PCT | | Record in April | 13-15, .464 PCT | | Record in May | 24-5, .828 PCT | | Record in June | 11-9, .550 PCT |
