Thursday, June 8th, 2028: Free-for-All Costs Cronk and Unknown 5-Game Suspensions
The league commissioner announced that two players had been suspended for inappropriate conduct. He told BNN, "What I'm trying to do with these penalties is say, we can't stop you from doing these things, but if you do them, you have to understand you will pay the consequences."

Baseball can be an intense game and on-field confrontations happen. However, the league disciplinary policy is to punish, sometimes severely, those who decide to settle things with their fists.

When Michael Cronk of the Wisconsin Timber Rattlers and Joe Unknown of the Delmarva Shorebirds got into a scuffle during a game, both players knew that a suspension would be forthcoming.

Sure enough, today it was announced that both players will each receive a 5-game suspension for their actions in a recent game at Timber Rattlers Ballpark.

So far this year Cronk is hitting .277 with 6 home runs.

Sunday, May 21st, 2028: Red-Hot Soto Scorches Yankees
It wasn't just another day at the ballpark for José Soto. It was a very special day, one that many players never experience. But he did. Soto went on a tear and cracked hit after hit off Tampa pitching.

When the dust settled on the diamond at Shorebirds Ballpark, he had a career 5-7 day and something he will long remember. And the Delmarva Shorebirds had a 9-8 victory over the Yankees.

"Yeah, it'll be something nice to tell the grandkids, but it won't get me a hit tomorrow," he joked in the postgame interview.

J. Soto hit a three-run double in the 1st, struck out in the 3rd, grounded out in the 5th, doubled in the 8th, doubled in the 9th, tripled in the 11th and doubled in the 13th.

This year Soto is batting .301 with 1 home run.

Monday, April 24th, 2028: MAL Player of the Week Named
Juan Cruz burst onto the Mid Atlantic League stage in a big way last week. This promising rookie right fielder for Delmarva garnered everyone's respect by putting up some remarkable numbers and picking up the Player of the Week trophy.

The 21-year-old haunted opposing pitchers hitting .419 (13-31) with 2 home runs and 6 RBIs last week.

Cruz is hitting .341 in 2028 with 11 RBIs and 2 home runs.
