| Breaking News |  | Thursday, September 21st, 2028: Dirk Jackson Gets Best Bat Trophy
Dirk Jackson of the Arkansas Travelers had a fine season this year and today he accepted the Most Valuable Player Award for 2028.
The 24-year-old third baseman put up a .314 average and a .400 on-base percentage, piling up 150 hits, 36 doubles, 1 triple, 12 home runs, 69 RBIs and 74 runs scored.

 | Monday, July 3rd, 2028: Great Week for Arkansas's Left Fielder
Jonathan Beasley punched, poked and pummeled the baseball last week and today he garnered a majority of the votes for the Southern League Player of the Week award.
The Arkansas Travelers left fielder slashed out a .500 average with 12 hits in 24 at-bats, no home runs and 4 RBIs.
Beasley is batting .317 this year with 5 home runs, 49 RBIs and 38 runs scored. He has 92 hits in 290 at-bats.

| Saturday, July 1st, 2028: Jackson Snares SL Top Batter Award in June
Dirk Jackson has a lot going for him. The Arkansas first baseman just broke into the majors this year and now the Southern League has just picked him as its top hitter for June.
In 25 games last month, this outstanding rookie batted .366 with 4 home runs, 15 RBIs and 23 runs scored.
So far this season Jackson has hit .319 with 10 home runs, 48 RBIs and and scored 54 times.
