At Lookouts Ballpark today Chattanooga blitzed the Tulsa Drillers 6-0 on a route-going gem by Mike Buckner. He blanked them on a 4-hitter and had 8 strikeouts in the contest.
In 2028 thus far, Buckner has tossed 105.1 innings in 15 starts, fanned 90 batters, walked 20 and put up a 3.59 ERA with 8 wins and 3 losses.

 | Friday, July 28th, 2028: Drillers Chill Brewer's Hot Streak
Jim Brewer's hit streak ended at 20 games today as the Diamond Jaxx first baseman went 0-for-3 in a 19-3 loss to the Drillers.
"It's one of those things," Brewer said. "It just didn't happen. I guess it was my day not to get a hit."
So far in 2028 Brewer is hitting .333 with 5 home runs, 59 RBIs and 55 runs scored. He has 150 hits and played in 108 games.

| Thursday, July 27th, 2028: Hit Streak Now at 20 for Brewer
It has been quite a while since somebody stopped Jim Brewer without a hit in a game. The Drillers couldn't do it in today's game at Diamond Jax Ballpark. The West Tenn Diamond Jaxx first baseman banged out 5 hits and extended his hitting streak to 20 consecutive games in his club's 7-4 victory.
J. Brewer hit a two-run home run off G. Matthews in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, doubled in the 5th, singled in the 6th and singled in the 8th.
This season in 107 games, Brewer has hit at a .335 clip with 150 hits, 5 home runs, 59 RBIs and 54 runs scored.
