Tuesday, April 11th, 2028: 5-6 Day for Gentry
History in the making. That's what the fans at Lookouts Ballpark got to see today, when Chattanooga outplayed the Smokies 9-8. Artie Gentry of the Lookouts came to the plate 6 times and came away with a dynamite day as he exploded for 5 hits against Tennessee.

In the postgame press conference the Tennessee skipper quipped to reporters, "Hey, we tried to get him out. We threw everything but the kitchen sink against him and he hit it. Maybe we should've thrown the kitchen sink."

A. Gentry singled in the 2nd, singled in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, grounded out in the 6th, doubled in the 9th and singled in the 10th.

Thus far this season in 10 games Gentry is batting .475 with no home runs, 12 RBIs and 7 runs scored. He has 19 hits in 40 at-bats.
Monday, April 10th, 2028: SL's Best Player Named
Caleb Cunningham burst onto the Southern League stage in a big way last week. This promising rookie second baseman for Chattanooga garnered everyone's respect by putting up some remarkable numbers and picking up the Player of the Week trophy.

The 23-year-old haunted opposing pitchers hitting .438 (14-32) with 1 home run and 10 RBIs last week.

Saturday, April 1st, 2028: Powell Goes 5-6
Tulsa second baseman Kelly Powell put on quite a show at Ballpark of Tulsa with a big 5-hit day in the 23-0 victory over the Chattanooga Lookouts.

In the postgame interview, he said with a smile, "Not a bad day at the plate... 5-6... wish I could do this more often. It would do wonders for my batting average... and my salary, too."

K. Powell grounded out in the 1st, hit an RBI triple in the 2nd, hit an RBI double in the 3rd, hit a three-run home run off M. Shaffer in the 4th, doubled in the 6th and hit a solo-shot off N. Pollard in the 7th.
