| Breaking News | | Thursday, August 3rd, 2028: Jutras Clips Sea Dogs for Cycle Michel Jutras produced one of the rarest feats in baseball today when he hit for the cycle against the Portland Sea Dogs in the Binghamton 9-3 win at Ballpark of Binghamton.
Afterward, Jutras acknowledged that his accomplishment was special, but he was more interested in helping the Mets just win some ballgames. At the postgame press conference, he said, "Maybe one day I'll look back on this day with more meaning, but right now I just want to come out tomorrow and put some good swings on the ball, get a few hits and help my club win another game."
On his historic day, he went 4-4 with 4 runs batted in and 3 runs scored -- and also got a spot in the league record books. Maybe one day way down the road he will get out the record book and reminisce about his extra special day in baseball.
M. Jutras hit an RBI triple in the 1st, walked in the 3rd, hit a two-run home run off M. Sims in the 4th, hit an RBI double in the 6th and singled in the 8th.
So far this season, Jutras has recorded a .307 batting average with 104 hits, 7 home runs, 63 RBIs, 56 runs scored and a .370 OBP. | | Wednesday, July 19th, 2028: Portland Helpless Against Davis In a very sharp performance at Ballpark of Tulsa Ken Davis of the Tulsa Drillers blanked the Portland Sea Dogs 10-0. In 12 starts this season Davis has gathered 5 wins while suffering 3 losses. He has pitched 72.2 innings, allowed 66 hits, struck out 62 and has a 3.84 ERA. | | Wednesday, June 14th, 2028: Maldonado Belts 5 Hits At Reading Grounds Mario Maldonado was the King of Swing today in the 9-3 win over the Sea Dogs. The Reading shortstop stepped into the batter's box 5 times against the Portland and delivered 5 hits.
It was a sensational game for him. He told the press, "Unbelievable feeling. It felt good. 5 for 5! It does wonders for your batting average, too."
M. Maldonado singled in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, hit an RBI single in the 6th, hit an RBI double in the 8th and hit a two-run home run off C. Stephens in the 9th.
