| Breaking News | | Friday, August 4th, 2028: Marés Socks it to RoughRiders, Cracks 5 Hits It seemed that Wichita left fielder Roberto Marés could do no wrong as the Wranglers kayoed the RoughRiders 15-2 today as he rapped out 5 hits in 5 at-bats. Frisco pitchers couldn't get him out as Marés seemed to know which pitches they were throwing.
"I think the Wranglers were stealing signs," growled one unhappy Frisco fan.
"I just felt good today. I saw the ball well and just wanted to make good contact and put the ball in play," exclaimed the jubilant Marés in the postgame press interview.
R. Marés singled in the 1st, hit an RBI single in the 2nd, was hit by a pitch in the 3rd, hit an RBI double in the 4th, singled in the 7th and singled in the 9th.
Currently Marés is batting .276 with 102 hits and 2 home runs. He has knocked in 45 runs and scored 46 times. | | Saturday, July 29th, 2028: Clark Takes Charge, Blanks Trenton How good was Luke Clark today? Just ask the Trenton Thunder, who were blanked 4-0.
