| Breaking News |  | Monday, June 12th, 2028: Las Vegas Loses Daniel, Will Miss Season
The doctors have spoken and Alfred Daniel of the Las Vegas Gamblers didn't like what he heard. The 29-year-old right fielder is almost certainly gone for the rest of the year and depending on his progress could miss some of next season as well. Daniel sustained his season-ending injury during the Philadelphia Phillies game yesterday at The Fabulous Avalon. He had to leave the game because he hurt himself while running the bases. Today the Las Vegas medical staff reported Daniel had a ruptured achilles tendon and would be absent from the lineup for at least 7 months.
In his season totals Daniel has 4 home runs and a .293 batting average.

 | Monday, June 12th, 2028: Star of the Week Selected in AL
Veteran Paulino Santos had a great week at the plate for the Gamblers to capture the majority of votes for Player of the Week in the American League.
The 33-year-old Las Vegas left fielder built a .407 average on the strength of 11 hits in 27 at-bats, 5 home runs and 12 RBIs.
Santos is currently batting .225 with 11 home runs and 34 RBIs.

 | Saturday, May 27th, 2028: Star SP Signs Extension with Las Vegas
Team officials triumphantly announced that the Gamblers and superstar starting pitcher Anthony Dall have closed a deal that keeps the 28-year-old in a Las Vegas uniform for another 3 years.
Dall will earn $13,470,000 as part of the settlement.
Checking out his stats for the year, Dall has racked up 3 wins and 4 losses in 8 starts, 3.96 ERA and struck out 35 batters in 52.1 innings.
