| Breaking News |  | Tuesday, August 8th, 2028: Hicks Goes 5-5 Against Erie The Stars whipped the SeaWolves 10-5 at Ballpark of Hunstville and Riley Hicks had a big hand in the win. The Stars second baseman came to the plate 5 times and collected 5 hits. It was a good day for Hicks and a tough day for Erie.
"I just go up there and whale away and hope it hits the barrel of the bat," he said. "There really isn't any plan."
Plan or not, Hicks delivered today -- 5-5 is outstanding in any league.
R. Hicks singled in the 1st, singled in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, hit a two-run home run off E. Lamb in the 6th and hit a two-run home run off A. Novak in the 8th.

He has 40 hits in 113 at-bats and a .376 OBP. |  | Tuesday, August 8th, 2028: League Issues 4-Game Suspensions for Brawl Yesterday at Ballpark of Hunstville Clyde Anderson and Aaron Novak lost their tempers and now they will have a few days off to cool down. The league office has suspended Huntsville's Clyde Anderson and Erie's Aaron Novak for 4 games for fighting. The suspensions are scheduled to go into effect today.
In 2028 Anderson is batting .323 with 5 home runs and 35 RBIs.
This season Novak has logged 1 save. He has thrown 54.2 innings, dished out 23 strikeouts and walked 24 while putting up a 2-0 mark and a 4.45 ERA. |  | Wednesday, July 26th, 2028: Mudcats Whitewash SeaWolves, Vargas Winner Speaking after the game, the Carolina manager said, "Ignacio Vargas had everything going for him. He controlled their bat speed, stayed down, had a lot of movement... he had it all... masterful."
Vargas held the Erie SeaWolves to 4 hits and fashioned a fine 4-0 shutout. He had 1 walk and 8 strikeouts in the game.
