Camm Wade was on fire today and the Springfield right fielder was a tough out, but it was all in vain as the Cardinals fell 7-5 to the Fisher Cats. For the game he went 5 for 5 against New Hampshire in a fine hitting display.
"I got my pitches and I connected. They all found the right holes on the diamond. Some days you hit shots and they're right at somebody... and some days they fall in. We just didn't get enough hits at the right time."
C. Wade singled in the 1st, singled in the 2nd, doubled in the 5th, singled in the 7th and hit a solo-shot off L. Morales in the 9th.
In 31 games this season Wade has batted at a .306 pace with 37 hits and 6 home runs. |

Chris Baker scattered 6 hits in going the distance in the New Hampshire 8-0 victory over the New Britain Rock Cats at Ballpark of New Hampshire. The 25-year-old Baker whiffed 11 and allowed no walks in the game.

22-year-old Benedict Daniels sent shock waves through UBL Double A last week with an eye-popping performance that brought him the Texas League Player of the Week Award.
A newcomer to the league, Daniels made the establishment sit up and take notice, punishing opposing pitchers with a .480 average, 12 hits in 25 at-bats, 2 home runs and 5 runs batted in.
Where the New Hampshire Fisher Cats right fielder goes from here, only the baseball gods know for sure, but Daniels certainly made his mark last week.
In the current season, Daniels has put up a .356 batting average with 21 hits, 2 home runs, 7 runs batted in and scored 6 runs.
